What is Salt?
Salt is built for "hodlers". A decentralized lending platform, enabling users to borrow cash and keep their cryptocurrency holding i.e. Blockchain-backed loan. On the other hand, users can provide cash for lending under the terms they specify. By putting down a portion of their crypto assets as a collateral, a user borrows money from the lender whose terms suit them best. Cash gets paid directly to the lender’s bank account and their crypto is securely kept by a smart contract during the loan's lifetime. When the due amount is paid, crypto assets return to the owner. The SALT token provides access to different platform membership tiers. They vary by cash limits available, loan lengths, and currency exposure. The Salt platform's oracle monitors the loan, adjusting terms according to payments, collateral market value and other. It also liquidates the crypto in case of non-payment.
