What is Monaco?
Monaco (MCO) is the ERC20 token of the Monaco platform. The goal of the Monaco platform is to bring familiarity into cryptocurrency usage by introducing the Monaco Visa card. The Monaco card can be loaded with Ethereum, Bitcoin or one of the supported ERC20 tokens. The holders of the card could gain access to services such as card payments at retail stores, credit functionality, sending remittances, p2p money transfers and beyond. When used, the card and/or Monaco’s mobile app will exchange the held cryptocurrency to fiat at the best rate it can find. The MCO token is used as a deposit when applying for the Monaco card. Only one 1% fee would be charged and all of the fees would be collected in an "MCO Asset Contract". The holders of the MCO token will be able to access the Asset Contract via "Redeem and burn". In this event, the user permanently destroys his holdings and receives the underlying cryptocurrency held by the contract in return.
